Mahsun appreciates Iran’s aid as Turkey battles wildfires

Turkish singer Mahsun Kirmizigul thanks Iran for providing aid to Turkey to combat raging wildfires.

Turkish singer and songwriter Mahsun Kirmizigul has thanked Iran for providing aid to Turkey to help the country in combating raging wildfires.

“Thanks, Iran” Mahsun Kirmizigul posted on an Instagram story, sharing a photo of a water-dropping aircraft sent by Iran to Turkey to combat the wildfires, according to Mashregh News.

Since July 28, Turkey has been struggling to extinguish its worst forest fires in decades.

At least eight people were killed in the blazes that have swept through southern Turkey.

The fires have erupted in 39 of Turkey’s 81 provinces, burning large swathes of forest and destroying farmland and dozens of homes.

Earlier this week, Iran deployed a firefighting aircraft to Turkey to help tame the fires.

The firefighting aircraft can carry up to 40 tons of water.

Iran also sent firefighting helicopters to Turkey to help the country in putting out the flames.
